Caring for our police family
NSW Police Legacy is the NSW Police Force Charity. Their commitment is to build on the care and support of over 20,000 serving and retired police officers and their families during times of tragedy and need. NSW Police Legacy honours the history and proud traditions of the NSW Police Force. They embrace the camaraderie and unique bond shared across the police family and take pride in providing compassionate, continuous and long term support in the best interest of those whose care they have been entrusted.
Cloudmaker Consulting was engaged to assist in developing a new program that aims to extend the level of care for former police officers experiencing difficult times and to help them adjust to new careers and civilian life. We developed a name, logo and tagline for a new program. The branding needed to be visually engaging, modern and strong and most importantly, resonate with the target audience. It also needed to work well with the existing NSW Police Legacy branding, but represent a fresh, modern approach with a view to the future whilst acknowledging the past. The resulting name and tagline is BACKUP for Life, A NSW Police Legacy Initiative for which we also developed brand guidelines and collateral for launch.
BACKUP for Life has been a huge success and continues to develop new services to assist former police officers in all aspects of their day-to-day life after the force.
