The Hon Troy Grant MP launches Backup for Life

On Wednesday 3 August 2016 NSW Deputy Premier, the Hon Troy Grant MP, launched Backup for Life, A NSW Police Legacy Initiative, a new program that aims to extend the level of care for serving and retired police officers and their families experiencing difficult times. Cloudmaker Consulting is proud to have developed the name, logo and tagline for the program.

Tender for Office of Liquor, Gaming & Racing successful

In collaboration with award winning photographers, Murray Vanderveer and Gary Grealy, Cloudmaker Consulting prepared a winning tender for the NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming & Racing.

The Office of Liquor, Gaming & Racing was looking to develop an image library that reflects the breadth of services and the diversity of communities and industries it engages with. The images will be used across a variety of channels including their website, eNewsletters, strategic documents, resources, presentations and other materials.

The photography for the Sydney region will need to reflect Sydney and geographical areas, including Newcastle and Wollongong. All the photography will be completed by the end of June 2015.

ProstateApp launched

On Wednesday 12 November 2014 Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia launched ProstateApp.

The app is a companion to the book Facing the Tiger written by psychologist Professor Suzanne Chambers. It is the only app designed to assist men and their families navigate their way through the emotional, psychological and physical challenges that come with a diagnosis of prostate cancer. It can be used on its own, or to get the most out of it, used in tandem with the book.

PCFA launches new translated resources and 2014 Community Attitudes Survey

On Wednesday 10 September 2014 Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia launched their information leaflet What you need to know about prostate cancer translated into five languages along with their 2014 Community Attitudes Survey. The report, which focuses on culturally and linguistically diverse communities and prostate cancer, is co-authored by Dr Tim Wong, Sarah Lowe MBA and Dr Anthony Lowe.

As a result of the report findings, PCFA undertook to translate What you need to know about prostate cancer into the five most commonly spoken languages other than English in Australia: Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Italian and Vietnamese.

Cloudmaker Consulting’s Sarah Lowe MBA managed the translation and design the new resources.

Dr Anthony Lowe speaks at University of Adelaide prostate cancer update

On Monday 17 February 2014 Dr Anthony Lowe gave a presentation on PSA testing at The Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men’s Health public seminar on prostate cancer. The Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men’s Health was established as a joint venture between the University of Adelaide and the Freemasons Foundation in September 2007 with the vision to enable men to live longer, healthier and happier lives.

New Therapies for Advanced Cancers awarded 2013 Melville Actuaries Summit Prize

New Therapies for Advanced Cancers: Can Our Society Afford Them? Is it Ethical to Deny Patients Access to Them? was awarded the 2013 Melville Actuaries Summit Prize. The prize is awarded for the paper considered by the judging panel to have effected a significant advance in the profession’s understanding or knowledge of a specific subject or sphere of knowledge; or collected or presented existing material in such a way as to raise the awareness of the profession regarding an important contemporary issue.
